فاروق آباد 331 قبل مسیح میں

فاروق آباد ضلع شیخوپورہ میں واقع ہے جو کہ تقریباً پانچ ہزار سال قبل وادی سندھ کی تہذیب کے بعد سے گھنے جنگلات والا ایک زرعی خطہ رہا ہے۔ 331 قبل مسیح میں، سکندر نے 50,000 کی فوج کے ساتھ Achaemenid سلطنت کو زیر کرنے کے بعد موجودہ پنجاب کے علاقے میں مارچ کیا۔

سکھ – انگریزوں کی آمد

History of Farooqabad 

The city’s history dates back to the Mughal era when it served as a rest stop for Mughal emperors. And their armies on their journeys between Lahore and other parts of the empire. Over time, the city grew into an important center of agriculture and trade. Along with a bustling bazaar that attracted merchants from all over the region.

Name History 

In the past, Farooqabad was known as Chuharkana, but its name was changed in 1983 to honor the second pious Caliph Umar ibn Al-Khattāb. The Caliph, who was known as Farooq, was recognized for his leadership qualities, legal expertise, and statesmanship. The town was renamed Farooqabad in his honor.

Farooqabad in 331 BCE,

Farooqabad is located in Sheikhupura District, which has been an agricultural region with dense forests since the Indus Valley civilization around five thousand years ago. In 331 BCE, Alexander marched into the present-day Punjab region after overrunning the Achaemenid Empire with an army of 50,000.

In 1005 AD, Sultan Mahmud Ghaznavi conquered the Punjab region, including this area, and the Delhi Sultanate and later Mughal Empire ruled the region. Sikh – British  Arrival in  Farooqabad

After the Mughal Empire’s decline, the Sikh Empire under Maharajah Ranjit Singh created a secular kingdom in Punjab. The first police station in Farooqabad, Sadar Thana Farooqabad, was established during British rule in 1924. In 1975, this institution was founded as the Police Recruit Training Center. At the time, a DSP-level officer in command oversaw the center. The Administrative Building, Academic Block, Mess, Dispensary, MT Shed, Library, and Canteen now make up the Police Training Academy.

The institution now only offers one course, the Basic Recruit Course. This program lasts for six months. The institution has formerly offered a variety of courses, such as the Moharar Course, Prison Warden Training, and Anti-Narcotics Course.

Farooqabad Fountain House

Fountain House Farooqabad is a significant landmark in the history of Fountain House. It is located on Sargodha Road, adjacent to “Sucha Soda,” a religious site for the Sikh community. In November 1982, approximately 55 km from Lahore, a group recognized the need for specialized services for rural individuals who required treatment in a setting that suited their daily lives. As a result, they established the agricultural therapy unit in Chuharkana. 

The project officials completed the residential quarters for members in February, and they inaugurated the project officially in March 1983. Members residing in Farooqabad engage in various farming activities, including plantation, and growing vegetables, and crops. Some others are fish farming, goat farming, poultry farming, and beekeeping, as well as maintaining the property. Additionally, psychiatric consultations and medical treatments are provided to the local population.

Gurdwara

Sachcha Sauda Gurdwara is located approximately 37 miles from Lahore, along the Lahore-Lyallpur Railway Line. According to Sikh tradition, Mehta Kalu, Guru Nanak’s father, sent his son as a young man to buy goods with the hope of instilling a sense of business in him. It is belief that Guru Nanak stopped at this site. That is known as Sachcha Sauda, to feed the hungry and distribute his goods to the poor.
